Pitch (Propeller)

The angle at which a propeller cuts through the water. Pitch is measured as the distance a propeller would move forward with a single rotation, if there was no resistance. A propeller might be described as a 12 x 15 x lh x 1, 3-blade propeller. (12" dia., 15" pitch, left hand rotation, 1" shaft)
